I missed out on my cycling today as I wasn’t feeling too well. Had I cycled, I’d have been blessed with good weather, I’d have climbed The Vee for the first time this year and I’d have been delighted that the wind Warning for County Waterford was wrong. I’d have attempted to latch on to a fast wheel on the descent to the bun stop. Instead of that, I sat in the glasshouse contemplating life and ripe tomatoes. I was well represented by my team-mates.
Here’s the Captain’s report:
G3 had 9 out on the first sunny Sunday in a while. A nice clip to Lismore where the ship was steadied in anticipation of the long climb up to the Vee. A quick stop for the obligatory photo shoot in glorious surroundings and then it was hell for leather downhill to Clogheen for coffee and buns in the sunshine.Group 3 Captain.
Back in the saddle we had a nice cruise to Ballymac where the wind decided to switch direction and slow matters down.
A lovely 90k with 800m climbing and our youngest at heart member home in time for birthday cake.
Now that the evenings are brighter, I’ll want to get the rothar out for a spin after dinner. Summer is coming!
